About 6 months ago, a former colleague and friend, Michele Wolpe, decided to film a documentary about my journey through ALS called “No Time To Waste” . The documentary was originally conceived as a short pilot for a longer film documenting the inspiring journeys of people going through chronic diseases with courage and grace. It was originally going to be 7 minutes but eventually clocked in at 24 minutes. Michele gave me permission to share it with my readers. In return, she would like to hear your feedback. Fair warning, there are some emotional parts, and likely a surprise for others in the way I look now. Just trying to keep it real.

And Harry you do know that Donna and Barry became part of my educational family out here! Donna was already in Visalia when we were still in Valley Forge and she gave me K-12 contacts for employment out here. I had never heard of Visalia even though I had grown up in Berkeley. A trifle humbling!!!

Hey, Harry, I think I recognized some of the extras in the movie. I know I’ve taken some lessons from the way you’ve dealt with this . . . . and we may yet have a few more A’s games in us. Thanks, brother, for smiling, and for valuing every day. Chris

Harry this documentary is beautiful beyond any words. You truly are a mensch. I first recognized that when we met at Camp Lymelight so many years ago. Through the years you have continued to inspire all those who have had the fortune to know you.
Love always, Barbara Nuzzi (Berger)

When I reached out to my former boss who was the executive director of The ALS Association (I think you guys spoke), he told me how critically important it is for ALS patients to be positive and live each day to the fullest extent possible. You and Mary Ann exemplify those qualities each and every day. As Barbara wrote, it is our good fortune and by the grace of God that you have allowed us to be a part of your lives. You have no idea what an impact you have had — and continue to have — on so many people; our lives are richer because of you both,
